The slowest method of hunting which essentially employs nothing but patience and luck to find a shiny Pokemon. This is the only method that works in every single game (except for gen I obviously there were no shinies in gen I)! It gives you a 1-in-8192 chance of getting a Shiny in gens II-V and a 1-in-4096 chance of getting a Shiny in gens VI-IX.

Any Pokémon that can be found in the wild just walking through the tall grass or surfing can be hunted through full odds, but you're not really boosting your chances - hence why it's called 'full odds'.
